Circulations

The IAP will explore the movements of actors, ideas, practices and objects across the territorial and imaginative space of Asia. The study of these circulations engages with sprawling networks, non-territorially defined phenomena, multi-directional flows, and non-linear histories. As opposed to looking at more discrete connections, or entanglements, the theme of circulations is intended to capture more continuous movements, and the ways in which this movement shapes, and is in turned shaped by, various processes.
