Infrastructures for knowledge production

Exploring existing knowledge infrastructures, their successes and inefficiencies and the impediments to duplicating or reproducing these infrastructures is a top priority for the IAP. While individual projects may emphasize increasing individual capacities or building institutional networks, the IAP also remains focused on understanding, developing and promoting strong infrastructures that will exist beyond projects and beyond individuals to provide scaffolding for future projects, support for researchers, and a strong, independent body of work emanating from the Global South. In addition, the IAP will seek to expand and diversify the audiences for the knowledge that it produces and its specific outputs, through engaging with ongoing scholarly and cultural conversations and virtual platforms, as well as creating new platforms that will produce new publics for these discussions.
